Didactic analysis and proposal for teaching selected career education topics within the framework " Lessons in working" and civics at higher secondary schools

The topic of this diploma thesis is career education within the cross-cutting theme of Lesson in working and its didactic treatment in teaching at secondary vocational schools. This diploma thesis introduces an analysis of the concept of teaching career education in selected foreign countries within the curriculum documents and teaching materials available in the Czech territory. The chapters of the theoretical part deal with the relationship between secondary vocational education and the labour market, the concept of career education and counselling, comparison with foreign countries and comparison of teaching materials; last but not least, it also includes an introduction to psychological and social factors influencing career choice. The whole work flows into a didactic analysis where I elaborate the teaching of career education according to the above mentioned findings. In the first part of the didactic proposal I work mainly with the development of career competences and the discovery of career direction. The second part of the didactic proposal focuses on students' self-presentation. The outcome of the pupils' learning is the familiarisation with the factors influencing the career direction and the principles of its search. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes and analyzes the area of postgraduate education. It examines the possibilities of professional development of teachers with regard to increasing the efficiency of the educational process and establishes a theoretical framework. The aim of the empirical research is to monitor the effectiveness of co-teaching and the possibilities of use for practice. The research is processed in a qualitative form, empirical research monitors the effectiveness of teaching, advantages, disadvantages, problems, complications and obstacles depending on the methods of co- teaching. The principle of the theoretical-empirical nature of the work is the close cooperation of teachers in teaching with the aim of more effective learning and self-development, with a higher interconnection of the content for education in the theoretical and practical level. Forms of art studies in secondary vocational education

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of secondary vocational schools, specifically secondary art schools completed by the graduation exam. The Czech Republic has a relatively dense network of these schools, however, from the point of view of pedagogy it is insufficiently researched. The aim of the theoretical part of the work is to describe art education at secondary schools in the Czech Republic, to state the forms of art disciplines at secondary schools, the organization of teaching in specific forms of art studies and the curriculum of subjects. The work also deals with issues of the number of art schools in the Czech Republic, with the qualifications of teachers at these schools and the number of pupils admitted to these schools. The didactic part of the work will be devoted to qualitative research focused on the form of graphic design, as the most numerous form of art study represented at secondary vocational art education.
